Bullfight season is about to end in Portugal. Here´s a brief summary of the year.
A high quality bullfight season.
The most important aspect of the year in Portuguese bullfight was in number of bullfights held compared to the previous year. Due to bad weather in the beginning of the season 21 bullfights were cancelled. The number of bullfights increased in the majority of important bullrings, on the secondary bullrings number of bullfights decreased. Bullfight impresarios invested in quality in stead of quantity on the majority of the bullrings. A predicted disminution in spectator numbers due to economic downturn in Portugal was not noticed.
