In 2017 bullfights and popular culture bull festejos (for example encierros) were attended by more than 25 million spectators of which 20 million spectators attended popular bull festejos and bullfights five million spectators.
Madrid bullring had 973000 spectators, Pamplona 185000 spectators, Sevilla 180000 spectators, Zaragoza 155000 spectators, Valencia 135000 spectators, Málaga 80000 spectators, Bilbao 70000 spectators, San Sebastián 35000 spectators and Córdoba 25000 spectators.
France: 375000 tickets were sold to bullfights and in Portugal 436000 tickets. In total 5849000 spectators attend bullfights in Spain, France and Portugal in the season 2017.
