Spain: Economic impact of bullfight on Spanish economy: 3560 million euros

Bullfight Union of Valencia Community (La Unión Taurina Comunitat Valenciana) has called for compliance with the law by the politicians in a manifest today. The manifest reminded that prohibition of bullfight, obstruction of bullfight preservation and obstruction of enrichment by the bullfight is prohibited by the law. Manifest was signed by 8450 bullfight associations.

According to the information provided by the Bullfight Union of Valencia (La Unión Taurina Comunidad Valenciana), bullfight produces 139 million euros in tax income of which 45 million is ticket sales. 6150000 tickets were sol to bullfights in 2015. About 1800 bullfights and 162577 festejos were held in 2015. Bullfight creates 199000 Jobs of which 57000 are direct and 142000 are indirect. Value of the bullranch domains in Spain is 1800 million euros. Half a million bulls and cows live on these domains. The effect on Spanish economy is 3560 million euros. Each euro invested in bullfight produces 2,6 euros.
